During the conference's opening ceremony, senior officials including Csaba Kőrösi the President of the 77th UN General Assembly, Maher Nasser the Director of the Department of Global Communications Outreach Division delivered speeches. They emphasized the pivotal role of youth in shaping the future, encouraging young individuals to courageously embrace challenges and actively contribute to global sustainable progress. Simultaneously, they reiterated the United Nations' commitment to supporting and advocating for youth engagement in social, political, and economic affairs.
The conference was organized by the AFS Intercultural Programs. The President Daniel Obst of AFS Intercultural Programs delivered the welcoming address, Yumna Khan Director of AFS Intercultural Programs along with the Youth Strategy Initiative Director presided the assembly openning.
