Editor's note:The Who We Are Project works to challenge the dominant narrative of our nation’s founding, demonstrating how slavery’s legacy has led to persistent and abiding racial inequality, and promoting education, discourse, and change.

The Who We Are Project was founded by attorney and racial justice activist Jeffery Robinson. The organization is an outgrowth of a talk that Robinson has been giving for the past 10 years on the history of anti-Black racism and white supremacy in the United States. This talk forms the basis of the feature-length documentary film, Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America.

The goals are to: the role of anti-Black racism and white supremacy throughout history up to the present,Americans to learn and share this history, and the next generation of citizen-historians, truth seekers and activists.
